Hosted by WoJ cycling coach Sean Leenaerts and Todd Collins and Maggie Ruddy. Contact info: Todd cell 303-748-4315; Maggie cell 303-408-1911 Please RSVP by COB Friday to maggieruddy@hotmail.com. Cell # is 303-408-1911

Meeting Location: Bergan Park Park-n-ride in Evergreen

Directions: I-70 West. Exit Evergreen Parkway. At intersection of Evergreen Parkway and Hwy 65 you will see the Park-n-Ride on your left hand side. To access the parking lot, turn Left at this intersection.

Route Description: From the Park-n-Ride, take the bike path to Squaw Pass Rd. Squaw Pass Road to Echo lake (approx 21 miles) w/ substantial climbing.

Turn around and return to Park-n-Ride. Please note: This is an out-and back route, so riders can go as far as they feel comfortable and then turn around. Riders not planning to do the Mt Evans option below and wanting to start later, may coordinate a later start time group through the Wheels of Justice bulletin board on our team page on the Courage Classic site.

Mount Evans Option (Weather Permitting): From Echo lake, ascend Mt. Evans and return back to Echo Lake and back up Squaw Pass Road to Park-n-Ride.

Anyone attempting Mt Evans must bring appropriate clothing and food. This is an extremely difficult ride with 14% grades in places. It is a must to be to the top and well on your way down by early afternoon to avoid dangerous weather - remember, Mt. Evans is a 14er!!!! Everyone is to ride at their own pace and turn around when appropriate. Please be smart. Mount Evans Fee: As of July 2006 the fee per cyclist was $3.00. I recommend you bring a couple extra dollars in case the price has been increased.

Less Challenging Option: if any of you want to do a simpler, less epic ride

(perhaps meet at REI at 8am and do the Platte River or Cherry Creek paths) , please post to the WoJ Bulletin Board on the Team page -- under the training section. This is a great way to coordinate another ride any week.
