Coached Lookout Mtn Ride on Ascending and Descending Skills; with Squaw Pass Uber-Option.

Ride will start at 12:00 a.m. sharp. Meet at the base of Lookout Mountain.

Directions: Parking Lot at base of Lookout Mtn. ; From US 6 in Golden turn west up Lariat Loop Rd (other side of US 6 is 19th St. ); You'll see parking lot on left after residential section

Ride Summary / Distance / Ride Difficulty:

Ride will start at the base of Lookout and ride up to Wild Bill's grave and back. The total miles will be 12 miles with a moderate to high level of difficulty.

Guest Coach: Megan Hottman -- 2007 Colorado State Time Trial Champion , cycling coach and Denver Athletic Club Spinning Instructor (and she's a lawyer, too!)

Coaching will start at NOON sharp, so be ready to roll.  Megan will give instruction on both ascending and descending skills before we get started.  We'll the go up and down Lookout Mountain (about 2000ft each way) with Megan giving feedback along the way.  I can't stress enough how important it is to get coached on these skills before you hit those mountains in the Courage Classic  - they are steep!   Truly hearty souls can then head off with Megan and her group to ride Squaw Pass.  (This will be out and back, so you can turn back any time).

Last week, many riders wore their WoJ jerseys from previous years and recruited other riders to join the team as they rode -- let's try this again for this week's training ride!
