Directions:

From C-470 turn west on to Morrison Road. Drive past the 1st stoplight and turn right into the Conoco.

Ride Description / Route:

Morrison - Evergreen loop:
Total mileage is approximately 32-33 miles, with a fair amount of climbing. Kerr Gulch does have some steep sections, and the first mile or so of that road is a bit rough and pot-holed, but the remainder is recently paved and smooth.

Depart Morrison and follow Bear Creek / Colo. 74 to Kittredge (approximately 8 miles); Turn right just before the town of Kittredge up Kerr Gulch Rd (~ 5 miles); Turn left at Evergreen Parkway and ride along Evergreen Parkway (~ 1.5 miles); Turn right at CR 65 and ride to the east side of Floyd Hill (~ 3 miles).  Cross over I-70 and follow US 40 east to El Rancho (~ 4 mi); Turn left and take the entrance ramp to I-70, riding along I-70 (there is a wide shoulder) to the Genesee buffalo overlook exit (~ 2.5 mi); Cross over I-70 and turn right, rejoining US 40 down Mt. Vernon Canyon to Morrison Road (~ 5.5 mi); Turn right and follow Colo. 26/93 past Red Rocks, and back to Morrison (~ 3.5 mi)

SHORTER OPTION:
For those who want to head for home after the Kerr Gulch climb and skip the ~ 7 mile loop out to Floyd Hill, it's possible to either turn back and retrace the route.
