Springtime for the Wheels of Justice -- That’s How We Roll! -- ORDER YOUR WOJ LONG-SLEEVED TRAINING SHIRTS BY 4/1:
Well, the weather outside may still be a bit frightful but spring is surely here because the Wheels of Justice peloton is already rolling. Already 73 riders have signed up to ride with the team in the Courage Classic (July 25-27) and this hardy group of pioneers has already raised $6,990 for the Children’s Hospital Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders! In addition, your hard-working Wheels of Justice Leadership Council has already raised more than $47,000 in sponsorship support for Children’s Hospital with special thanks to our lead sponsor, Hensley Kim & Holzer, LLC. (Please see all sponsors listed to the right).
Now, it’s your turn to help as we dust off those bikes and warm-up those hibernating muscles.
1) Order your long-sleeved WoJ Training Shirts before 9 a.m. on April 1: One of the great benefits of joining the Wheels of Justice Team is the cool, high-quality swag provided by Primal Sportswear. This year we have a terrific shirt for the first 200 registered WoJ riders! To be guaranteed a shirt in your size, you must;
A) Be registered as a team rider (http://www.couragetours.com/2009/team/wheelsofjustice) and
B) Submit your order via the Wheels of Justice Website, no later than 9am on April 1st. (http://www.wheelsofjusticecycling.org/2009/order_form.html),
2) Please use this great free swag opportunity as a recruiting tool to encourage your friends and colleagues to sign-up for the Wheels of Justice team, so please forward this email on to likely supporters.
3) Mark your calendars for the Wheels of Justice Kick-Off Party on Wednesday, May 20th at Delaney’s at the Celtic Tavern in Denver. We plan to distribute the training shirts at this party, while rallying the team to raise even more $$ for Children’s Hospital. Watch your in-box for more details.
Many thanks to our incredible Wheels of Justice sponsors we really couldn’t do this without their generous support!
Here’s how else you can help:
SEND E-MAILS TO FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES ENCOURAGING THEM TO SIGN UP FOR THE WHEELS OF JUSTICE -- All skill levels are welcome. The Courage Classic is an incredible 3 day, 154 mile Tour, rather than a bike race, so the main emphasis is raising $$ for Children’s Hospital, while having a fun, healthy time in a beautiful setting! So the event can be as tame or as challenging as you would like to make it.
ASK YOUR FRIENDS TO REGISTER EARLY: The Courage Classic will likely close out early! Last year’s event filled up with 2000 riders by June 1. Last month, the Triple Bypass closed out in just 2 days. Clearly, the demand for great Colorado cycling events is HIGH, so we need folks to register ASAP in order to make our 200 rider goal.
HELP US RECRUIT MORE SPONSORS: So far, Denver law firms and businesses have pledged over $47,000 to support our effort ... the bandwagon is officially rolling! If you have contacts at firms, corporations or vendors that you think may be interested, please consider asking them join our great circle of sponsors -- see the excellent benefits available to sponsors at http://www.wheelsofjusticecycling.org/Sponsorships.html. Plus Event sponsorships are available at all levels.
So swing back in the saddle and join the team in training, fundraising and having fun! I hope to see you soon on an upcoming Wheels of Justice Training ride!
All the best,
Heather
