Greetings Wheels of Justice:

Time is Short; Register as a Wheels of Justice Rider or Recruit a New One Today:  The Courage Classic will close-out any day now, so please do your best to recruit other riders or join the bandwagon yourself if you’re still sitting on the fence.  Currently, 158 riders have signed up for the team, so we are getting ever closer to our 200 rider goal.  Thanks for all you’ve done to spread the word.   Please email or call all of your cycling buddies, colleagues, family members and neighbors and urge them to sign-up now, too!

NO LEADERS, NO RIDES!  PLEASE VOLUNTEER TO LEAD A RIDE TODAY! So far Pete, Megan and I are the only people who have volunteered to lead rides – we need YOU to keep this great tradition going! One of great things about riding with the team are the awesome WoJ training rides all over the Front Range.  Each weekend, different team members volunteer to lead fellow riders some of their favorite rides.  We’re happy to announce that elite rider and coach, Megan Hottman will be our Wheels of Justice Coach again this year, leading us on rides on May 17, June 21 and July 1.  So we need WoJ members to sign up as Ride Leaders on all of the other weekends.  To volunteer as a ride leader, please email Todd Collins at toddacollins@yahoo.com (Many thanks to Todd for volunteering again for this job!).

Sign up for Wheels of Justice Apparel before May 20!  As we did last year, we will offer cool WoJ apparel as a fundraising bonus to our great riders.  Those who commit to raise of donate $500 or more will receive a totally cool WoJ custom Primal cycling jersey and those who commit ro raise or donate $1000 or more will receive a stylin WoJ wind jacket.  This swag will only be available to those who commit by May 20 to raise or donate these amounts and then actually achieve these fundraising levels.  Due to our budget constraints this year, no extras will be ordered.  Pictures of the jersey and wind jacket, and ordering details will be posted soon on our website, http://www.wheelsofjusticecycling.org/2009/SWAG.html

RSVP for the Wheels of Justice Kick-Off Party on Wednesday, May 20th at Delaney’s at the Celtic Tavern in Denver from 6-8pm. We’ll have free beer, wine and appetizers, while rallying the peleton to raise copious amounts of cash for Children’s Hospital.  We plan to distribute the training shirts at this party, plus we’ll have sizing sets for the WoJ cycling jerseys and jackets. Please RSVP to Denise Richardson by May 12 at drichardson@cobar.org.  Many thanks to our Wonderful 2009 Event Sponsors: WELLS FARGO, Colorado Court Reporters Association and Impact Legal!  http://www.wheelsofjusticecycling.org/2009/KickoffParty.html
