Bonjour Wheels of Justice!

TICK, TOCK; WE'RE ON the CLOCK.   Can we reach 200 riders before the Courage Classic closes? We're inching closer!  Right now, we have 163 dedicated cyclists/fundraisers signed-up for the team. Our good-natured rivals, the Spin Doctors are drafting right behind us with 122 riders! Last year many people found out about the team too late and were begging to get in!!  We were sorry to disappoint them.

Let's do everything we can to be the biggest team in the Courage Classic for the second year in a row! Why do we care?  Because it will allow us to make the biggest contribution possible to Children's Hospital. Plus it'll make for a rockin' party at the finish line on Sunday of the Courage Classic.

SO, please take a moment right now to forward this email to any friends, family or colleagues who might consider joining us.  Tell them that every rider receives a cool long-sleeved WoJ training jersey and those who commit to raise $500 or more get a terrific WoJ cycling jersey as well. Training Ride

Wheels of Justice Training Ride this Sunday May 4th!  (changed to Sunday due to better weather -- high of 68 is predicted)

First, many thanks to the many riders who showed up for last week's ride and for Cynthia Wellbrock for hosting.  A few riders called an audible and turned the ride into a Tour de Denver loop (REI, Bear Creek, Morrison, Golden, Highlands, and back. A great day all round!)

Here's a link to the route map:

Route maps will be provided at the start of the ride.

Last week, many riders wore their WoJ jerseys from previous years and recruited other riders to join the team as they rode -- let's try this again for this week's training ride!

Kick-Off Party

PleaseRSVP by May 6 to khammond@cobar.org for the Wheels of Justice Kick-Off Party on May 13th at 6pm at Delaney's at the Celtic Tavern in LoDo!  You should have received an email invitation to the party last week.  Feel free to forward the invitation (or this email) to interested friends.  We will have the WoJ training shirts to distribute to registered riders at the party; plus a sizing set of the cycling jerseys and shorts for you to try on before you order.  Please come by to ensure your apparel fits right this year, plus have some free beer and fun.  What's not to like?

Bicycle Village joins WOJ as our sponsoring bike shop for the second year in a row!

This means that all registered WoJ riders will be eligible for great discounts on bikes, maintenance, bike-fits and accessories.  The folks at Bicycle Village are wonderful supporters of both the team and the Courage Classic.  Heather Purcell, our team leader bought her Trek 5000 there in '05 and has been really impressed with their service and expertise.
