Yo Wheels of Justice!  . . . (I'm in NYC!)

Kick Off Party

Oh, What a Night!  -- Wheels of Justice Kick-Off Party Launches Our 2008 Campaign In Style.  We had an awesome party Tuesday night at Delaney's in Lodo -- great turnout and lots of inspirational stories about the amazing work done by the doctors, nurses and administrators at the Children's Hospital Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.  Thanks to all who worked so hard to make the party a big success (including all who volunteered), especially our incredible party leaders -- Stacy Carpenter, Kasi Gray, Alan Garber and Heather Clark.  Special thanks also to Aaron Bradford for being a terrific MC.

Rider Recruitment

It's a photo finish:  Less than 40 spots (out of 2000) are now available in the Courage Classic.  Will we reach 200 riders before the door slams shut?  Right now, we have 184 dedicated cyclists/fundraisers on the team Let's do everything we can to be the biggest team in the Courage Classic for the second year in a row! Why do we care?  Because it will allow us to make the biggest contribution possible to Children's Hospital.

SO, please take a moment right now to forward this email to any friends, family or colleagues who might consider joining us.  Please visit www.wheelsofjusticecycling.org and click on the link that says Sign up to ride for the Wheels of Justice team in the 2008 Courage Classic

Training Ride

Wheels of Justice Training Ride this Saturday May 17th!
First, many thanks to Megan Hottman for doing and awesome job teaching us climbing and ascending skills at Lookout Mountain last week.  We split into slow, medium and fast groups, so that Megan and 2 other coached could give us personalized instructions.  It was a blast on a beautiful day -- a few of us even made it through a second ascent!  Here's the info on this weekend's ride.

Saturday, May 17th  9am SHARP.
Ride Host: Tony Clapp
Start: 20317 Vista Circle, Parker, CO.
Ride Description: We'll go north on Pine Drive to Inspiration and then East to South Powhaton and turn left to East County Line Road and then turn east until we reach Delbert road. At Delbert Road, go south to Singing Hills and then east again to County Rd. 13 and South to the town of Elizabeth for a quick break at the Diamond Shamrock Station. From Elizabeth, we'll go west to Flintwood and then turn north to Bayou Gulch. At Bayou Gulch, we'll go west again to Mottsenbocker to Mainstreet and then go east through downtown Parker turning right at Pine Drive and then left on Vista Circle. This is a 52 mile loop with many options to make it shorter for those that don't want to do all 52 miles. I'll highlight the routes and cutoffs on maps that will be available on the morning of the ride. Generally this is about a three hour ride - we can have a BBQ after the ride.

Please print out these instructions and bring them with you on the ride! Please RSVP by COB Friday to Tony at Email: litespeed_821@yahoo.com , mobile phone (720) 300-6094 :
If you have one, wear your WoJ jerseys from previous years to recruit other riders along the way!
